I did that when I upgraded, but it still shows no USB devices, and leaving the Settings/Security Preferences open while mounting a USB drive on the OSX host does not show any additional security authentication requests. You get prompted during the Fusion installation and have to allow the kernel extensions in the Security dialog during the installation.
